Big Sisters of North Bay and District was initiated in the Spring of 1975 by the North Bay Women's Centre. Big Sisters of North Bay and District is a member of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Association of Canada, which provides service to over 300 communities in Canada, of which Big Sisters of North Bay and District services: North Bay, Sturgeon Falls, Verner, Temagami, Powassan, South River, Sundridge, Trout Creek, Redbridge and Mattawa.
